Favourite Jeans

jeans patched | Yvanne Teo

So what do you do when your favourite jeans break on you?

In my case it is more that I can never find jeans that actually fit me, so I have a great reluctance to lose any pair of jeans that I can wear. My jeans are not particularly special, they are from GAP, but from GAP men, and in the style of ‘loose fitting’ which you cannot get in the UK now. However, they are still available in the US, so I have to ask my friends who travel back and forth to the US to buy them for me and carry them back to the UK. I can’t even buy them online as you can only use an American credit card if you want to purchase anything from GAP US, and on top of that, you can only have it mailed to an US address. So… my new jeans(x2 or x3 or x?) will be hopefully arrive with a friend sometime in September.

Exhibition: Valentino, Master of Couture

Having thought that during the week (after a peep online at the booking page) it would be a simple walk-in affair, my friend and I were not exactly thrilled to find out that arriving for a hopefully 11 am viewing, we were told that it was fully booked and the next available time slot would be for the 1pm viewing. Perhaps they were not used to people asking then and there to buy tickets for the next available viewing? Did they not want to sell tickets? Anyhow, with a delay on our hands, we decided to lunch at The Delaunay in Aldwych to kill time till our visiting slot came up.
