After all the “musts” at Austrian Ski Resorts, I just have to say these are all really musts for one resort: Lech am Arlberg, Austria – pretty much the only resort to date that I enjoy the whole package of.
And by whole package I mean not just the skiing, but the hotels, the facilities and of course the food.
Now it wouldn’t be complete if you didn’t try out the tea time treats. For this first said venture we headed out to one of the famous landmarks in Lech, the Gasthof Post. And as we were blessed by sunny weather we decided to take our afternoon tea outside on the terrace. Tea always served in a pot with an hour glass timer, we also added a hot chocolate to help aid our cake eating.
So what other musts? Maybe I should concentrate a little on the skiing side of things. Well the first ski day in my case is usually devoted to doing the Weiße Ring – on this occasion I just managed to do as I had boot problems (yes always blame the equipment!) The second would be devoted to doing the Valluga run in St Anton. Then usually after I flake out and want to do some langlauf.
