Dragon Boat Racing

dragon's head | dragon boat racing

This year’s Dragon Boat Racing was held at the London Regatta Centre on the River Thames not far from the Excel Centre opposite London City Airport. The racing heats were well under way when I arrived late morning, and many stalls were out offering various Oriental food for sale for the public to sample.

Lech am Arlberg – My Favourite Austrian Ski Resort

After all the “musts” at Austrian Ski Resorts, I just have to say these are all really musts for one resort: Lech am Arlberg, Austria – pretty much the only resort to date that I enjoy the whole package of.

Omakase at Roka Charlotte Street

The Omakase continues… this time at Roka, Charlotte Street.

New Toys 2

The Leica V-Lux4

Another Toy! How fortunate and what fun! We’re now looking at a bridge camera, the Leica V-Lux 4. Touted as a travel, wildlife and sport camera… I look forward to testing these out, plus of course my usual food photography 🙂

I’ll have to admit, a bridge camera for me is harder to get use to – perhaps psychologically I expect it to function like an SLR, I have to say, the electronic view finder isn’t bad, but with this camera, the LCD display is mainly used. I am viewing this camera also like my Olympus OM-D, as something I can keep in my bag and whip out to take pics without sacrificing on the quality of the image. The added advantage of this camera for me is the fantastic zoom range it has. The image shown here is taken from the article on engadget.com.
